Presidents, Treasurers and Clerks
From 1953
through 1971, the term of office was from one annual Symposium till the next;
i.e. the first year is shown as 1953-54 from the incorporation of CVT to the first
annual Business Meeting in June, 1954. For 1954-55, the terms began in June and
ended in October, 1955. From then until 1972, the term ran from about October to
the following October. Starting in 1972, the term was the calendar year; during
the change, R. Bunshah served as President for about 15 months from the Business
Meeting in 1970 till the end of 1971.
Since October
1955, the Vice-President (later the President-Elect) served as the President
in the next term; i.e. Andrew Guthrie was Vice-President in 1955-56 and then
President in 1956-57.
From 1968 through 1971, the terms of the outgoing Treasurer and his successor overlapped, from the annual Business Meeting until the end of the calendar year, e.g. D. Bills served till December 1970 while L. Hull started his term at the Business meeting in October, 1970.
*J.H. Moore resigned as Treasurer in January, 1962 and R.F. Bonenfant was appointed.
