Mount Rainier Day Trip

(7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)

Your tour begins with a trip north to the fertile Skagit Valley area. Points of interest and animated commentary will entertain you throughout the drive to reach the quaint little town of La Conner. This picturesque waterfront town, located at the mouth of the Swinomish inlet, is rich in both history and heritage. You will be allotted time on your own to enjoy lunch at your leisure and explore the diverse galleries, antique shops and specialty boutiques.

Next, travel to one of the many beautiful islands located near Seattle. Whidbey Island’s old-growth forests, sand dunes, 174 varieties of birds, and spectacular views of shoreline, mountains, islands, and sunsets mark Whidbey Island a favorite for visitors to the Northwest. The human history of Deception Pass State Park on Whidbey Island dates back over 6,000 years when the first people settled the area now known as Cornet Bay.

You will have the opportunity to walk across Deception Pass Bridge and take photographs of the amazing views. Then, you will be transferred to Deception Pass State Park and be given time to walk the beach, explore the many hiking trails, and take a scenic walk through Deception Pass State Park’s mini-rainforest before traveling back to Seattle via a Washington State Ferry.

A light jacket and comfortable walking shoes are advised.
