    Symposium Registration

The AVS Student Issues Committee will host a Job Center, open to all attendees, at the International Symposium for the purpose of connecting job seekers with potential employers. The goal is to facilitate contact and networking during the Conference. To receive the maximum benefit from the Job Center, please sign up and submit your resume or job posting AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK!

Job Seekers: Bring 6 copies of your resume (stapled and 3-hole punched) to the Job Center Registration Area. Your resume will be included in binders available for review by any potential employers. Upon registering with the Center you will be asked to complete a time card outlining your availability and local contact information for the week, should you be available for interviews during the Symposium. Once registered it is important to check in daily to review posted positions, leave messages for employers and check back for potential interviews. (Bring extra copies of your resume to hand out.)

Potential Employers: Bring 2 copies of any available positions you wish to have posted to the Job Center Registration Area. Your position will be posted on the boards for review by interested job seekers and resume binders will be available for your review (and purchase on or after November 16). You will be asked to complete a time card outlining your availability and local contact information for the week, should you be available for interviews during the Symposium. Please note that resume binders will be available for review on Tuesday, November 14 and interviews will be conducted in a semi-private room. Once registered it is important to check in daily for messages from interested applicants and to schedule/conduct interviews.

Advance Registration: Please note that you may also send in your resume or job opening in advance of the meeting, providing it arrives on or before Monday, October 23, 2006. If you submit your resume or job opening in advance, you still need to report to the Job Center to complete an Applicant/Employer Card and provide contact information.
