Each manuscript should begin with an abstract (not more than 150 words);
typed single spaced, five and one-half inches wide, and centered. The
abstract should be on the first page of text and should follow the paper
title, authors’ names and affiliations; it should not be on a separate
sheet. This is an example of a properly prepared abstract. Authors are
requested to submit the manuscript in electronic form. Two formats are
acceptable: Adobe Acrobat PDF (strongly preferred because it
significantly reduces the file size) orMS Word.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Camera-ready copy is typed for
publication in final form. All pages are photographed without
correction.
Paper length should be 6-8 single-sided, single-spaced pages including
figures, tables, and references.
Manuscripts should be in U.S. letter paper 8.5 X 11-inch format leaving
a 1.0-inch margin on top, bottom,
and both sides. Only two fonts Arial and Symbol are acceptable.
These instructions have been prepared with a word processor using
10-point Arial type for the text, and
boldface 14-point Arial type for the title (all capitals).
Use a justified left margin and a ragged right margin, as in this
document.
The title of the paper is typed in boldface capital letters and centered
on the page. Under the title,
centered in capital and lowercase letters, is the author’s affiliation,
address, and zip code as shown
above. For multiple authors, follow the format used above.
Major section and/or subheadings should be in boldface capital letters
and centered.
Skip a line between paragraphs and two lines between manuscript
sections. Do not indent paragraphs.
Place acknowledgments at the end of the text just before the references
under the heading
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS, which should be boldface and centered on the
page.
List and number all bibliographic references at the end of the text
under the heading REFERENCES,
which should be boldface and centered on the page.
When referring to a reference in the text, type the corresponding
reference number in parentheses as
shown at the end of this sentence (3).
Tables should be numbered using Roman numerals, and placed at an
appropriate point within the text.
Illustrations should be interspersed appropriately within the text
(please deselect the "float over text"
option when inserting or pasting objects into your document). Keep
drawings and captions within the 1.0-
inch margins. Size figures appropriately so readers easily may observe
any points on the drawings that
are mentioned in the text. As an alternative, group all illustrations
following the text, putting two to four
figures on each page. Be sure that lines, symbols, and dimensions are
large enough to be legible.
Generally, symbols and characters should be 1/8-inch high. Captions
should be 10-point size or
equivalent.
This simple checklist will help ensure that the format is correct.

the paper 8 single-spaced pages or less?
