NAMBE 2013 will be held at Banff Centre in Banff, Alberta from October 5-11 2013.

The 30th North American Conference on Molecular Beam Epitaxy (NAMBE 2013) is the premier forum for scientific and technological exchange among researchers investigating all types of materials growth using the MBE technique.

This conference showcases important results from fundamental materials research through technological applications and into high-volume and low-cost production. The conference features the presentations of the MBE Innovator Award, the NAMBE Young Investigator Award, and the Best Student Paper awards.

In addition to a diverse technical program, vendors will exhibit the latest equipment available for material growth and characterization. The exhibit will surround the coffee breaks and poster presentations, providing many opportunities for discussions between attendees and vendors.

Three parallel post-conference workshops will provide additional opportunities for participants to exchange ideas with top experts in the field in an informal and collegial atmosphere.

Conference Venue
Banff National Park ......................................................................

The town of Banff is located in Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site in the splendour of the Canadian Rockies.

In the fall of 1883, three Canadian Pacific Railway construction workers stumbled across a cave containing hot springs on the eastern slopes of Alberta's Rocky Mountains. From that humble beginning was born Banff National Park, Canada's first national park and the world's third. Spanning 6,641 square kilometres (2,564 square miles) of valleys, mountains, glaciers, forests, meadows and rivers, Banff National Park is one of the world's premier destination spots.

The conference venue is the Banff Centre –“Inspiring Creativity”–which is one of the largest Arts and Creativity incubators on the planet, hosting more than 8000 artists, leaders and researchers each year.  The campus is spread over 43 acres on the west side of Tunnel Mountain, just a few blocks from downtown Banff.

Banff is a 90 minute drive from Calgary International Airport and is served by convenient airport shuttles.
