U.S. Immigration Rules

PLEASE BE ADVISED NEW US IMMIGRATION RULES

All citizens of countries who WERE NOT required to have a Visa to enter the US are NOW required to register with the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) at least three days prior to travel. This can be done by going to the ESTA web site.

All citizens of countries who were required to have a Visa for entry into the US are not affected and must follow the same guidelines as previously required.

ABOUT TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION
A Travel Authorization can only be applied for by a citizen of a Visa Waiver country. Any other visitor must still apply for a B-1 Business Visa or B-2 Tourist Visa in advance. A Travel Authorization permits the U.S. visitor to travel to the United States by air or sea and ask for admission to enter. A Travel Authorization is only related to "permission to travel to the United States".  If you are planning a trip to the United States, it is recommended to apply for your Travel Authorization right away.  If you are denied a Travel Authorization, the visa application process can take several weeks or months.  Those that are not approved for Travel Authorization will need to apply for a U.S. visitor visa (B-1 / B-2).

The following websites contain information about the visa application process, as well as applying for travel authorization under the visa waiver program:
