Conference Overview
The conference draws more than 700 attendees each year with multiple oral technical sessions and a well attended poster session which is a major component of the technical program. The conference is organized in different technical symposia to address experimental, theoretical, and manufacturing issues associated with development of new coating materials and processes, dynamics of film growth, development of functional coatings, and evolving approaches to scale-up for commercial applications. The seven concurrent symposia on vacuum processing techniques address the topics described by the symposium titles. There will be special topical symposia (TS1-TS5) on Computational & Experimental Studies of Thin Film Growth: An Atomistic View”, “Coatings for Fuel Cells and Batteries”, ‘Surface Engineering for Thermal Transport, Storage, and Harvesting”, “Characterization: Linking Synthesis, Properties, and Microstructure’ and “Energetic Materials and Micro-Structures for nanomanufacturing Additional elements of the conference program include a two day exhibition of the latest in equipment, materials and services used for the deposition, monitoring and characterization of coatings and thin films. Short courses and tutorials are offered. The Town and County Hotel is the official conference hotel. The hotel is adjacent to the Conference Center providing a relaxed atmosphere that promotes information discussion and networking among the attendees. The organizers are happy to invite you to participate in the ICMCTF conference and look forward to your interaction.
