The AVS Dallas Metroplex Student Chapter would like to invite you a presentation by Jori Psencik, TI University Recruiting Manager. We have the exciting opportunity to hear Ms. Psencik present a Career PREP Session on three topics: What is important in your career, Building an Elevator Pitch, and Interview preparation. This is a highly valuable opportunity for you to learn tips and advice on how to successfully establish a career after graduation. Pastries and refreshments will be served.

ABSTRACT:

In this session we will cover three topic areas: What Is Important In Your Career, Building an Elevator Pitch, and Interview Preparation. We will discuss how to make educated decision about you future and how do you communicate this to future employers in a way that when they walk away, they remember you and what you value? Each participant will be a taught how to construct a basic elevator pitch to introduce yourself to future employers. Finally, we will work on understanding the organization, (what candidates should know, where they find information), researching the interviewers, preparing questions to ask, what not to ask, developing listening skills, practice techniques. We will cover the basics on the different interview types (on campus behavioral, virtual (phone and video), technical, on-site interviews etc. What should you expect to be different about each type and how do you prepare?
